ETCC, the coronavirus and the way ahead
(last updated 3rd September 2021)
We plan to start all Treasure Hunters groups at The 10AM from the 19th September. Creche, Toddlers and Minis will run from the 12th September during our All Age service.
We will once again take Communion in person from Sunday the 19th September. We will follow the pattern of the first Sunday @ The 5PM and the third Sunday @ The 10AM.
We hope to be restarting kids work at The 5PM from Sunday the 19th of September (TBC).
We will no longer require you to book for Sunday services from the 12th September. Please just turn up.
After prayer and careful consideration, we will no longer require those attending to wear a mask from Sunday 12th September. This will now be a matter of personal choice. We continue to want people to be safe and feel safe when they come to the church building. Many attending will continue to feel it's the right thing to wear a mask and we support and welcome that. There will continue to be good ventilation, hand sanitizing stations, a little extra space between rows of chairs, and a particular area of seating for those who would like to be away from those not wearing masks. Our Welcome Team will be able to help with this upon arrival. Our big prayer is that we continue to stick together as a church, recognising the diversity of people's situations and preferences. Let us act with love and mutual affection as we take this step forward.
We will continue to live-stream the services.
Bright Sparks, Rock Solid and Rooted will all restart from the week beginning 6th September. Please look out for more details about times and days in another email.
Tots, with a new shape, will be starting on Tuesday the 21st September.
The first Grow Group will be on Tuesday 7th September and the first daytime Grow Group will be on Friday 10th September.
Grow Groups will initially carry on as they left off. Each group will have the option to meet online or in person. We plan to open the building and put out some tables that each group could make use of if they wanted. We want to give leaders/groups the choice in these next few months.
From Tuesday 14th we will run a hybrid prayer meeting. We will be moving the prayer meeting back to meeting in person. But there is also an option to join the meeting via Zoom. At times of prayer, the Zoom group will pray as a group and then rejoin the in-building meeting for updates.
Monday Meet is restarting on Monday 6th September and the Emmanuel Society on Thursday 9th.
Together will meet in person from Thursday 9th September. There will also be a creche for those with younger children. There will also be an option for an online group.
Prayer and Care
We are keen to keep the praying life of church going. If there are things you would like the church to pray about, then please email email@example.com. We will endeavour to keep sending out a weekly prayer sheet called Grapevine so we can stay up to date in our prayers for one another and our mission partners.
At this difficult time we are aware that many will need spiritual comfort and support as well as practical help. Please make contact with your small group leader, with one of the elders, or make contact with the church office if you need some help. You could also email the welfare team directly firstname.lastname@example.org. Please let us know if you are unwell or self-isolating so that we can support you as best we can.
We would also encourage you to care for one another. If you are able to offer some more practical help please do let us know.
