New to ETCC?
Welcome! Whether you've just moved to the area, or have lived here all your life, we hope our website helps you to find out everything you want to know about this church.
We realise that coming to a church for the first time can be scary. This page includes some practical information to make your visit as easy as possible. Please feel free to contact us if you would like any more information before you come. If you are new to Christianity, you may be interested in doing our
Christianity Explored Course, or feel free to come along to any of our events and meetings - you are more than welcome!
Some key information...
We meet
every Sunday at 10.00am and 5pm at:
Enfield Town Community Church,
79 Cecil Road,
Enfield
EN2 6TJ
Parking on site is very limited and is therefore reserved for those with mobility difficulties. If you are able to walk, please use one of the local car parks (free for 3 hours on a Sunday). You can see a map on our
contact us page.
In addition to our Sunday Services we have a number of midweek activities for all ages. More information is available in the "What's On" section of this website.
You will be greeted by a member of our Welcome Team who will be able to answer any questions you might have about our gathering. They will give you a Bible and will show you where you need to go. During our Sunday services we spend time singing, praying, reading from God's word and listening to it being taught. Our usual practice is to work our way through a book of the Bible (or part of one) over a term, taking a section each week.
Our services usually last about and hour and a quarter. At the 10am service, after the formal part of our meeting finishes tea and coffee is served in the The Hub and at the front and side of the Auditorium. Please do stay if you can - we would love to get to know you. You can find out more information about the church or ask any questions you have at the Welcome Desk. At the 5pm service, tea and coffee is served in the Hub from 5pm, before the formal part of our meeting starts at 5.15pm.
During our morning services there are "Treasure Hunters" groups for pre-school and primary-school-aged children. Children join us for the start of the service and then leave for their groups when directed to do so. There will be plenty of people around to show you where to go. The kids will have great fun playing games and learning about Jesus in a way tailored to their age and understanding. For more information please visit the relevant age groups under "What's On?". We have a monthly All-Age service (usually the second Sunday of the month). School-aged children stay in for the whole of our gathering (pre-school children leave for their groups as normal).
Children are very welcome to come to our evening services. Clipboards, pens and sermon sheets are available to help them to concentrate during the sermon.
No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.
Not at all! You are free simply to observe or to participate as much as you feel comfortable. Most of our time together is led from the front by the pastor. You will not be asked to say anything infront of others.
Please feel free to contact us. If you want to know who works in the church office, check out our
Staff page.
New to Christianity?
Christianity Explored is a four week course for those investigating the Christian faith. It is ideal for those who want to discover what it means to be a Christian and for those who want a 'refresher' on the basics of the Christian faith. Join us as we consider who Jesus is and why He came! Come and ask any questions you may have - or just sit and listen if you prefer. All welcome.
Courses normally run on Tuesday evenings at 8pm. Please email CE@enfieldtown.church or visit the welcome desk for details of the next course.
